Robert Thomas Pattinson was born in 1986 in London, England. His father was a vintage car importer while his mother worked at a modeling agency. Some of the movies Robert Pattinson has been in many movies include Ring of the Nibelungs, Vanity Fair, The Haunted Airman, The Bad Mother's Handbook, How to Be and more, including some still in the making.
However, the roles that have made him the most popular include his role of Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter movies and Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies, Twilight and New Moon. In fact, few people can hear his name or see his picture without automatically thinking of Edward Cullen! His wonderful acting has been profitable for him as well. The Telegraph listed him #10 of the top ten highest paid actors. The Twilight movies brought him $16 million.
Robert is very talented individual. He's an actor, musician and has even been a model in his earlier years. He began modeling at the age of twelve but only modeled for a few years. He laughs about his short career and says he was hired because he looked like a girl but couldn't get any more jobs when he began looking like a man!
Robert's performance in Twilight earned him 3 MTV awards: Best Breakthrough Performance Male, Best Kiss and Best Fight.
In his personal life, he loves playing piano and guitar and composes his own music. He also did some of his own singing in Twilight. He admits to smoking and also to taking Valium to settle his nerves before his Twilight audition. In 2008, People magazine named him one of the Sexiest Men Alive. I'm sure they won't get much argument there! He doesn't have a girlfriend and states he really doesn’t have time for one right now.
